Fragments of our discussion linger on my mind As I sit here and try to weave together this verse and rhyme I listened to the echoes of the silence, and to the words that we did not say How I wish I could make things not have to be this way I thought I knew you so well, but maybe I made a mistake For I thought you and I together, was simply destiny and fate You are the uncertain one, to great lengths I go to keep you near However, still perhaps in the end it shall be me who sheds the final tear Did you know a heart can break, and mend itself like new I just wish this heartache I'm feeling wasn't over you Tiny cracks lie deep within as I poured my heart out last night I sit here in the morning sun with nothing left in me to fight I turn the power to the Lord, for now it is your turn to try I'm done with the tears, no longer shall I cry Standing strong in my beliefs, you either fight to keep me or let me go Either way I simply just want an answer, please let me know A year and a half is a long time to just simply throw away But it's much easier than being imprisoned in one's own chains and making another stay I know that you love me, I've known that all along Just learn to love yourself first, then embrace love's song "When life gives you sorrow, may you experience the spirit of laughter" |

sad that we can't make someone see what's right in front of their face. when you get to the point that you know in your heart that you have tried the hardest you can, that's the point of leaving |

I hate not being able to show people things that are so plain. It hurts so much when they just don't seem to open their eyes. I hope they hurry up and think more clearly... Always, Alyssa Poems are made by fools like me, |
