Echoes of the Mind

A smile lights up my Sunday face
Once more I weave this shawl of lace
A needles thread with healthy sigh
For catching echoes deep in lie

I patch the holes with finer knit
To hold the memories of my wit
And market them in dreamer’s wile
To set these gems in single file

I wear them like a medalled chest
My uniform my Sunday best
Salute this flag that passes by
The glories of my life I sigh

They do not know my midis touch
The limp of age or help of crutch
They’ve set their voyage on their sea
They set their sights on them not me

But I am happy with their stay
My only wish another day.

Ah you don't mean to say it's already another day again?
I really need to get into the habit of sleeping!
Looks to me like you had a much more restful night, though
Excellent, as always...

This brought a big smile to my face. Very much enjoyed, I needed that.

This is absolutely beautiful, my friend. *S* A smile lights my face every time I remember hearing your stories... I hope we're blessed with another such time and place. *S*
