Cold bleak, omen is The full moon of May. With no down tick Of cloud-blanket, a havoc Reeks, allows drapes Of crystalline lay On red-robes of josephs-coat, Turns black, yellow coleus And fades, Blue from ageratums * Before dawn, makes stiff Begonia and heliotrope, Its clutch uglies yesterdays Happy fuchsia-tips; Red and pink, Now sad and gray; Burned by the morning suns touch. * Delicate flowers fall, Death hue in shade I morn them As they melt, Into earth-surface graves.. |
