Euthanasia Hush ... Will you strain to hear long forgotten notes, Sadly and softly rising above The cloak of life’s dark misted mercury? They have again become barely audible. There! Rising in succession They search for that hidden crescendo, Intent on breaking a black silence. Hush ... Can you hear her calling you To a sweeping, weeping stream Of images left on your heart? She has the key to a sacred place Where all time stands still. A place of images never to be erased By yearning, ignorance, or greed. So softly, in fluted whispers she leafs through Images so indelible in your mind’s eye. Hush ... Can you feel her guiding your heart Amid terrains so forgotten in time? She leads you through halls of respect, Yellowed by wars, age, and neglect. Halls where simple understanding Proudly line walls with wisdom. Stones of understanding, knowledge, and, A right to simply “be” will all become The only stones paving new roads Away from our own euthanasia, To total peace through conscience. ~* Thank You *~ |

I saw this art, and it screamed at me to say something, anything. I know I don't have the answers, nor do I know the question, but I do know I want equality and peace in my world and hopefully in my lifetime. Thank you for reading this. |

Sharon ... I loved this. Such a poignant write with all the turmoil in the world these days. I do think we are euthanizing ourselves too, in so many different ways. If only we could stop long enough to hear the sounds that bring us back to peace and contentment. If only, my friend. This was a lovely ponder for my morning tea. Best wishes and hugs, /Kit |

I sure don't know my politics the way I should but as I sit watching CNN, while reading your comments I will have to simply type this small reminder to those that argue the current situation, "I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." I personally am SO very thankful to the American troops, and appreciate all they are sacrficing for all of us by simply following orders, and believing in what they are doing as justice done. Sharon, An incredible piece of art. One could not expect it to be improved until reading only the words you know so well. I knew immediately that you took me to a place I have only recently known. And I confess how much the visit meant to me. Your wisdom is showing, again. Thank you dear friend. It is after all a keeper. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Can you feel her guiding your heart Amid terrains so forgotten in time? She leads you through halls of respect, Ooooo, yes I still hear you Mysteria.... and I like to think you would be rooting for me. Your presence is so serene and level headed. As per usual, your writing begs to be called upon and take reguge in, and I do. |

Sharon, this really is a touching poem. I enjoyed reading it. All of it is excellent writing, and this last verse says it all. Thank you for sharing your heart, sweet lady. Hugs, Ethel |

"Can you hear her calling you To a sweeping, weeping stream Of images left on your heart?" I found those lines somehow so soothing... Wonderful. "cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind" |

Very spiritual and very touching Sharon. Maree The clouds never expect it when it rains, but the sea, changes colour, but the sea, does not change. |
