Between the Lines

0 posted 2004-05-26 11:35 AM

I see through the mist of words
a painful regret of what isn't yet to be...

I wonder if two minds can think alike
or does one race ahead
leaving the other behind,
always trying to catch up.

There is comfort in the knowing
one way or the other, but agony
when stuck between the two.

I should know, I am here
between the lines of my life,
wondering the same.

Well written, Maureen, and well inspired.  Yes, time's hold is something to ponder upon... if one has the time, that is.

Excellent write Maureen...
I can see how you would be inspired by TP's piece.

awesome write M...

this line in particular stood out

"I wonder if two minds can think alike
or does one race ahead
leaving the other behind,
always trying to catch up."

excellent question...i think sometimes that is the case yes but every once in a while two minds are on the same page, and isnt that a wonderful feeling...your words
float across the page and really make
someone think! thank you...
take care

"M" - I would comment that it was perhaps a dubious inspiration, but a damn good read.
