wandering back through your old letters
and the creases i made over and over themselves
years after we gave up on all of this
it leaves me breathless
tonight is the night before i make the final change
rid myself of all i was
when you loved me more than words know how to say
though you often tried to compensate
somedays now i think you hate me
you pulled away yesterday
when i was just fixing your tag
a common gesture between friends
and that hurt me more than words know how to say
and i didn't even try to compensate
no not this time
we will never try to speak
with words too broken and full of love
and we will never try to hug
without flinching and suffering quietly
we will never again be innocent enough to remember
what came before the end
we can never forget

...i don't know how to cry anymore

in the end it's not just you with your memories and your scars, fall on me if you ever forget how beautiful you are.

this hits so hard...so powerful.
i'm sorry that you are hurting so much
but time eases the pain. I felt this
as I am sure many others do/will as
well. keep writing, it helps.
