The summer following your December death Was when I realized Just how cold it had been: June set everything ablaze. I was told God is at the center of the earth Not high above us So, when my head is Towards the ground It is not shame No, no See, it is faith. And we've had it all wrong For so long. (it was you who told me these whispered musings it was you silhouetted against the moon that night) If our only salvation is love, Then what will become Of those whose hearts were long since Claimed By the cold grasp of loneliness? June set everything ablaze. |

Okay, see I didn't find this sad at all!! I found it hopeful and reassuring... Made me want to shout, "Hell yes!" Saving.... "cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind" |
