Nothing like Mary In the circle of another face she listens to the squeal of a mouth left jammed in hinged horizon three autumns ago her eyes lift up and she finds her mood hanging there behind the moon loose her body opens and shuts like a whore bending on time and she is nothing like Mary who has suffered the wickedness of the sun but a gutless conception baptised by fish and the drag of Pacific under her feet. Angel of Darkness November 6th 2003 The clouds never expect it when it rains, but the sea, changes colours, but the sea, does not change. |
