in a Daliesque moment
   i slipped
through the cracks

     into
        another dimension...
one without tension
or apprehension

surreality
held me
long enough to escape

the black boxed day
  that sat too squarely
upon the calendar

i seek
  solitude

a welcome entrapment
within the corner

yet forever flirting with
radiant circles

of light

I sense
  the core

the heat of life
out there

somewhere

just beyond my fingertips

floating in blue

smiling wide---

I've done this once or twice.

It's so awesome I wish I could do it at will.

Y'got me grinning at this ungodly hour, Kacy.

hmmm...

The walls bleed into the floor
and I remember to forget
everything I am
in these perfect little moments

Fading into a Dali landscape
melting time and worry
I ask little of a life that offers less
but perchance to dream

An early one from the archives. Love dali, adore his work and these words youve written

Dali is a warm tongue on which the human soul may sit comfortably, but it is not in the nature of the soul to sit still for long.

Midnitesun,
Your title stuck me as I have saw a lot of Dali's work in a private collection in Cleveland years ago.  His work came to life so well that I still visualize much of it.  Your poem is excellent!

I wrote one describing his 1932 painting,
Eggs on the Plate Without the Plate.
Here's my poem if your interested.

You merge with Dali very beautifully, dear Kacy! Outstanding write.

And I loved also the poems by Raphael and by Sadelite, both excellent.

Love, Margherita
