There's no room left

yet you are seated
wooden

and here I lean

to catch breath

standing no taller than you

my expectations are...

limitless cottons
stitching the escape

cut me out

and let me take your chair

if only....

There is never enough to fill the day

to keep you from flaunting your ribbons

past the window

where someone weeps...

There is no revenge
and still I pull you back

to imagine

what it would be like
if there were..

when I could not bruise your ego

even now.

I am weaker than I thought...

he could treat me as beauty
his own

and I would still be yours

and my own enemy

waving in the background
of every photo-still.

I think if let him treat you to that, you'd forget those old pictures and the people in them, the old 'him' and the old 'you'

Do you realize, just how "beautiful" you truly are! It is evidenced in your poetry and your infectious smile, Dear Gem Drop!

It is sooo good to read your poetry again and see your sweet, smiling face!
