Not once, not twice, not even three or four ...Now I can't even keep up with how many times I've left you. You don't notice that I'm gone, because I never actually leave in the sense of packing a bag, or walking out... I just simply go to that place deep inside my soul, and hide for a while. Those are the times that I'm quiet, and have very little to say. ...You ask me what's wrong, and I simply shrug my shoulders, because to tell you the truth... I have no clue. ...I just know that sometimes, like today, I get lost in yesterday, and start fearing tommorrow, and then before I know it... I'm in that secret place again deep inside my soul. In fact, that ole' familiar feeling is so familiar that I don't even realize that I'm gone until you ask me where my thoughts are. I wish I could tell you. It would ease both of our hearts and minds. But I can't, not today anyway. Ask me again tomorrow... When I'm here, instead of there. Life is something that happens when you can't get to sleep. |
