An explosion in the sky and rain thunders down harsh and fierce, pounding, in the middle of May unexpected like a wave from a stranger’s hand or a gift from a son on St. Valentine’s day. Delayed reactions, windows, doors, run before the fall, no water, hail, on my parade to wash emotion out and remove the stain and residue of a certainty so long contained within life’s long walk about. But the porthole to reality opens in spite of me and water rushes in like a torrent sent from hell and I’m sure I saw a spider spinning a massive web from corner to corner - but who can really tell? Maybe just a dream, a feeling, or belief, swinging in the breeze of this really cannot be or a clock calling “time” on reclamation of confidence and faith in a far-fetched scheme. There’s water on the floor, it’s been there before, but June brings survival after mid-May rainfalls! Helen |
