He had no sense, not a nickel or minds rhyme When she smiled him confidence, threw rich words for him to find. Without a worry of risk what her future might bring She gave him softness of flowers and her scented Spring, Golden word nuggets and fluffy seed wing. She freed him to fly among the wrinkles of mind, Turned on sky lights so he might find cents that were once hidden where memories define. She awakened his senses Though he could not give her lilacs or plant a kiss Touch her cheek or sketch her lips Still…awakened enriched by dreams. (Written for a close friend of mine.She'll know who she is...) |

Thanks to all. I want so much to get around to reading your posts, but need to write too. Lots happening in my life and I need to spend time letting things seep out of my pen.
