Swallowing Pride I try the pick-me-ups: weeding, gardening, things I love to do no matter how much they make me sweat. I try the word to word thoughts to another, and another, of those who I care about and those who leave me their words behind. But even those dear-to-me experiences can't help the loss I feel when I am in need of the mood of open say*, when I am weighted down with a moment's call and a voice telling me "not today". First reactions, the beginning fear of being alone with no comfort, just pulling those weeds, yanking them, kicking them into piles, too angry to pick them up yet... sometimes people need room to allow the dust to settle...and do not mean to shut anyone out...simply, they need time to think...? Many hugs sent your way... |
