Mock Orange

I’m temperate    place me in the middle
where there is rhythm in air
breathing in and out of trees
a longing to touch but can't stay place
must move
the grove just titillate
then on to meadow dotted with the thought
of kiss just one

plant me there against the wall undone

Shiver felt
a shadow falls across the earthen floor
and innocent is covered
her veil a gossamer gray not stern
hold attention there
for to turn would tease delight
of not knowing if shadows is warm or fright

There is a song within the night
misunderstood the cold the damp
to embrace midnight calm with you
and tremble thus the morning dew
I will remain
but I do better in the sun
clinging to the dry of dirt
bringing subtle fragrance into air
to embrace spring in blossom there

So shy the small white petal of my display
grasp your hand with cut of me
for to fill the vase of your demand
is to know the essence of my adaptability

I miss the mock orange of my home...
and all of the happiness

The way you turn common words in magical
exclamations amazes me, always has.  A
signature trademark of our Martie!!

This is a as lovely a write as that of the mock orange itself, whose blossoms are truly one of my favorie parts of Spring.

Martie, you continue to be one of my all time favorite poets. Emily Dickenson, Robert Frost, Amy Clampitt, Dylan Thomas, and you.

Once again, I've been swept away in your words.

you are the pips botanical garden...
this is a superb write of visual and all the other senses are stimulated as well...
you know this tree-hugging moth loves this write.

I love you more the further I go ...
before this existence ... you were always here inside of me.
