Divvy, Divvy Divvy, divvy piece by piece Eating time within our lease Sputters in the fall of time Turning into dust and grime. Willy-nilly rides the ghost Paying credence to the host Wily is the ride of pride And useless the try to hide Although we walk and cannot fly It’s not quite true in fact a lie For fly we do in our dreams And build our nests in castle seems I’ve built a few ourselves you know Islands in the heat and snow Moments full of chaos rare Made of flames beyond compare I turn this spit, a bit of roast Would you like a slice on toast? |
