Hello Mama I've been wounded, can you help me out tonight? No the hospital is not a choice. My ears are ringing, I can't understand your voice, can you stop laughing? Yes I am an awful sight, but there's no where else for me to go; I'm sorry for the mess; I'll wash the floor the blood won't show. Keep your voice under control; the window's open; you're still laughing. Yes I'm bleeding. No I can't clean up the floor right now. Please stop screaming. Won't you help me just a little? Pack the sugar in the hole, trust me, it will stop the bleeding. Yes I'll clean up all the mess, if you'll just stop laughing and stop screaming, when I'm done I'll take care of all the rest. No the neighbors didn't see me my car is nowhere it was dark when I got here. Yes I know it's not the best time for you to worry what your friends are going to think. Yes I know how hard this is on you, why don't you pour yourself a drink? Then bring me the whisky thread and needle, don't look there the bullet went right through. ©2004 by icebox |

I hope this was all symbollic rather than a real event -- all the same, we all have much to forgive of our mothers as they probably have much to forgive of us (at least I know that's true for me). Although, I can see where this type of behavior of a mother is hard to ever forget.  |
