Climbing so high to burn the shadows away The sun scorched equally both skin and stones Old Zhan rested in the heat of the day Beside where a mountain stream trickled in play Sandals removed and with his feet resting On the brink above the water worn stones Casually the well traveled toes dipping Then comes a little hungry fish nipping Startled at the nip pulls his feet away Startled by the pull fish hides under stones Laughing, sandals in hand is on his way Tossing a few crumbs of bread for fish play.
