MOTHER Sometimes I can still hear the sounds of song waking me from lazy summer dreams and calling me to a day filled with sunshine and the promise of your loving smile Sometimes I can still feel the wrap of your arms drawing me into the safety of your embrace the feel of a Mother's love tender in your hug and the promise of your beautiful face Sometimes I can still see the light in your eyes as you watched me grow and the pride and the joy and the pain as your little girl became lost to you, a woman in her place Sometimes I can see the tremble of your tears the sorrow that I caused, the trials that I gave your worries over me and what I should become and the promise of your faith Sometimes I remember the adventures we had driving off to far away lands walking and talking and becoming the best of friends as we grew beyond the bonds of fate Always I will hold you close in my love for you for even though you are gone and lost to me you are the very essence of what's good in me and the promise of what it is to be . . . a Mother S.A.T. |

Susan, I was just thinking about writing a poem for Mother's Day for my Mom who is still living. I don't think I could have come up with a better one than what you said here; it is all so appropriate for my relationship with my Mom who is the world to me. Thanks for the beautiful, thoughtful write. ![]() |

Thank you all. I found your poem, Sean, very tender and touching. Thanks for telling me of it. My mother was very dear to me. I miss her. It has been 2 years now, yet it seems so much longer. She was truly an incredible woman. Amazing how much Mothers touch us. Susan |

I think you've put all our hearts into words, my friend. It's so easy to see your love for her. jwesley |
