Moscow's Metro Tragedy

Perhaps we don’t speak Russian, but we know the language.
It’s a language of expression and emotion.
We poets know it.
Perhaps we've never been to Moscow, but we know the landscape.
We painters paint it.
And Mussorgsky’s Songs and Dances of Death
linger within wave lengths intermingling with our own heartbeats.

For we know Death’s tune and have heard his mighty tympani thump and rumble.
We have watched him swoon and lull the lover,
entice and dance, and hover,
and embrace those dear to us.
And today, he sings and dances near to us, within our hearing and seeing.

So I will listen to Mussorgsky in honor of the fallen ones, and I will be ever so watchful.
When will terrorists find terror redundant?

I lie awake at night
I reach out to touch
Feel you by my side
I reach I never feel you
Will I ever get to feel you again
Just one more time

(big angel hugs) Oh Jo, it is so very saddening, sweet friend, it saddens me to see such hatred in some peoples hearts, and worse yet some who want to retaliate with even more hatred, as revenge is a terrorism itself! (sad sigh) Peace is the only solution and not through guns, God Bless You, I pray for the world, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jo, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

iliana ~~ I was just watching this dreadful tragedy on the news.

Terrorism seems to be in every corner of our world. When will it end?

Nicely written on a hard subject.
Hugs, Marti

I take no credit for my poems. Although I write them, I feel
more like I transcribe them. It's just a matter of listening.

Marti -- I saw it on the news during the night as I am nocturnal these days.  Yes, it is beyond words what is happening in the world, and I don't even want to think about it.  But, it wouldn't leave me alone this morning so I decided to create something as a positive thing to kind of outweigh the negative of it all.  Thanks for reading.  jo

Jo,
I read this again, finding I had not posted to this compassionate poem.  It is truly you speaking from your heart, combining your musical experience.  The message is one the world can relate,"When will terrorists find terror redundant?"

   An excellent response..

There is such compassion in this poem...
and you explain so well how this terror
isn't something that we can just brush off...
It really is horrible what's going on,
I hate watching the news now...
Thank you for this poem.
