As I light the candle, for an intiment dinner for two. My hand trembles, as my thoughts are only of you. As I tell him, to come and see. I realize, this isn't who I want it to be. As I look across the table, in the dim candle light. My eyes see a face, my heart cries "this isn't right" Soft music, candles, dinner for two. A romantic evening, now my body aches for you. I try to show him, how much I care. As my hand touches his body, I realize I am not being fair. A song breaks the silence, brings a tear. My heart fills with love, no more room for fear. I got up, and walked away. My love won't be denied, another day. Tonight my life, will finally start. Free to say "I love you", with all my heart. There was a time, you wanted me. A time we knew, our love couldn't be. Was it real, or just words, wispered in the night. To forget the days, as our bodies joined with such delight. |
