Lost of paper work over trodden leaves on the office floor you bought the life when it still meant something now is doesn't matter anymore. Tired of looking at the night sky and knowing there are things out there bigger then you that you know nothing about and perhaps never will. Sick of signing the same tired signature that you have signed to work you are not proud of for the past forty years; yet too sedated to move to do something worth signing. Staring robotically at a computer screen for more then seven hours a day. Dying to go home pick up the pieces of your life the thought that something needs you makes you stay. Aware that life is passing you by; smiling families walk the pavement of the street outside your apartment dripping ice cream onto furry dogs and walking home together while you watch them. Alone. |

Good work. I really enjoyed this poem! (you use "then" when you should use "than") Grover. |
