Moulda was there where it always was. The place where so many wonders had unfolded. There he had gone long before to hide from the savage words of crowds. There he had gone to rest, to hibernate like the mountain bear -- to sleep within the womb of the Mother. There he drank from the spring of life and saw his reflection in the starlite pool of living water. This time the journey to Moulda came with rain. Mudslides brought by the monsoon made the way replete with change -- difficult at the least, but triumpant at last when arrival was attained. This time the journey to Moulda was not for protection or rejuvenation. The intent was born by itself. Weobaei was drawn to return to the place of his birth -- the womb of his Mother, Earth. Tonight, as he laid on his back aweary the long hard trek behind, he saw the ceiling of Moulda open. He saw the stars in the sky. And the fire in his blood did warm him as he began to realize that stars might be perspiration on the face of his Maker or glistening tears of love in his Creator's eyes. Iliana |
