The Wait of Age The years do sway across the bridge of time As wand’ring doves aloft in spacious skies Bequeath their peace and lift our souls sublime In ceaseless love that wafts itself to highs Beyond the reach of earthly lovers’ ken. Were we the last of love’s design and whim Or would the lonely world lose heart again If our devoted radiance could dim? For thee, my love, I bear the wait of age In ages subtly drawn upon the sash Of time’s decay, when seasons strong do rage Against sweet lovers’ hopes as if to dash Our souls upon the ragged rocks below; ‘Tis love itself in us ‘twill swell and grow. |

Maybe if I read a whole lot of these I might learn how to write them. I'm envious. Just can't seem to do it myself. |

(sigh) Wow, the ending really hit hard, dearest friend, it has always sounded so harsh falling on the sharp rocks but this really got to me, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Steaven, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "You'll find something that's enough to keep you |
