For a second I close my eyes,
where did you go?
You should never make promises you can't keep,
why did you have to renege?
Your temper me like a lion tamer would do,
but love don't belong on a leash

I never agreed to let the sleeping does lie,

every hard-boiled egg is yellow inside...

Did you think I was going,
to let you take advantage of me this time?
Did you think I'd accept,
being dog-eared in your history, only to die...
When the truth comes out,
what will you think,

Honestly, you kind of hurt my feelings,
and I'm feeling upset,
Blind, deaf, clumsy, improvident,
is all you are to me now in my head.
After everything I've done for you,
the least you can do is reply,
you expected me to be your myrmidon,
when all I wanted was to be by your side...

Your posts have been coming too far apart for my liking, dear Noah! Whenever I read a poem of yours, or the lyrics of one of your songs, I know that I am in for a real ride!

This one hurts, however. I hope this is just you being creative and is not based on your true personal experience. The road to love can be filled with land mines, but with experience we begin to see the danger signs and are able to side-step the bombs!

I had popped into your journal a few days ago and was blown away (poor pun) by your recent entries!

Hope all is well with you! June is fast approaching!
