It is the understatement of all time That I take for granted the simple fact that i am That I fill a living shell That I myself am chemistry, biology, and psychology Amongst a billion other things that I do not understand And not only that I can think and move at will But that I can do And that I can love And more; That from my flesh and the flesh of their father More came to this world and breathed their first puff of air And opened innocent eyes which rested on me And loved me and I them One day my flesh will be spent And I will see what is next And the thing that supported me from conception Will become dust What will my fingerprints leave to bear witness of my existence? It is the understatement of all time That I don’t notice how amazing it is that I live |

Thank you everyone - all you chemical beings I really appreciate your comments. It is a shake your head kind of thought isn't it? |
