These battles that are waged
Against the fervent soul
Dark legions creep the night
Their scoured rampant troll

For but a hostage guild
In silent bowed replete
An agonizing grasp
All hope in prone delete

Yet taking every breath
The filling of pure light
When shared at honors brow
Triumphant takes its sight

In noble note to seal
The crest of bloodlines strong
Then hands clasped to reveal
The reason life loves on
