The bottle was full,
Laying the on its side with a cork to pull,
So I did pull it open
And got a glass to put it in
Then went out to survey my bare garden,
I poured as I sat on the porch to see
Just how neglected and empty
That patch had become in the winter
And what it would become I ponder
Of all the work it would need
As I filled the glass with mead.

Forsythia in yellow hid the fence
Planted twelve years and bloomed every spring since,
The rose climbed the trellis where the shed once stood,
Received as a problem to grow
But the giver did not know
How little the effort had turned it to blooming good,
I sipped and remembered the years gone past
Once chopping it back so far it thought it wouldn’t last.

I refilled the empty glass once more
Thinking it was too rainy to go the garden store
But I got out some pots and vegetable seed
Still drinking the sweet potion of mead,
Not really in the mood for great toil,
Not wanting to do anything too hard
Especially out in that soggy yard,
But still wanting to feel the soil.
I refilled the empty glass once more.

Watering each planting of the crop
I drank wondering it the rain would soon stop,
But it did lingered all the day,
Occasionally spring is that way,
April is the month of the raindrop
And if we want the May flowers
Then we will endure the April showers
Just to get to the blooming beauty,
Hmmm my bottle is empty.

This year, for the first in 10, my garden will be gorgeous.  Just painted the house ontop the new siding.  Things are looking up and my bottle is full!  Cycles, cycles, never ceasing.  Enjoyed the read 'tho have to wonder about some of it.  Happy Easter, I hope it was.  And, I am still asking, are you okay?

Well, the content of that bottle made you consider beauty to surround you ... and it will be given onto you without too much effort, just a little love, a caring hand.
The fullness of beauty is about to explode...
Enjoyed this write.
Love, Margherita
