He leaves home just like every morning, Except this time he’ll be gone for a few He has no choice but to abandon everything he once knew… He’s off to fight a war, looking for peace. Now today, Easter dinner will have one less seat. His family is missing him the most While he’s clear across the coast. The love they share And how much they care Is not forgotten Because today… This solider misses you >i wrote this poem for my cousin, its about her dad being in Iraq for three months. |
