The face haunts him, Invades his twisted mind, The bleeding face of medusa, He should have known her kind. He is a man betrayed, A man of a million sorrows, His sins consume the simple shell, A burning tear slowly flows… He lands on his knees, Offering himself whole, Wishing the face leave him, Chained to the gallows pole. He sees an abyss beyond life, As the noose befalls the head, He prays for forgiveness, And slowly feels the dread. Adultery drove the blade, Anger made him kill, Now her face haunts him, And he bears the evil Carrying it to the grave, As the floor gives way, The neck cracks loud, Life falls away. He drifts in a tunnel of white, Burden on his back, Spirits chant his sick name, Hunting like the pack. But they are forced back, As the figure comes to his soul, Slowly he absolves the sin, The spirit flies, again whole. In the paradise beyond, The spirits enjoy love made, As the ecstasy seeps through, The man draws his blade… |
