don't they realize
what they have taken from me
more than just what
the eyes can see
a broken spirit
emptyness inside
now only tears,i hide
take what i have
for they have none of their own
their fears took
what my soul has shown
you hear them say
you think your to good for me
instead of asking
fear tells them rejection it will be
how could one
ever know
without taking the time
letting themselves go
confident, independent
no fear of change
pretty, smart, talented
having some fears close at range
they never knew
my fears inside
to busy destroying
being lied to by their pride
some one once told me
take a good look and see
like others before
who had it all
stripped of dignity
same as a game
chaos and hell
others to make sure
you never leave or tell
so much happiness
deprived from their fear
so many years wasted
nothing to show, except a tear
all my life
i've heard those words
you think your too good
or they think their not good enough
never taking the time
to ask, see, or realize
mabe i could be thinking
the same thoughts
they'd never want me

now isn't that absurb!
