Picture by Josephine Wall * * * Lately I have been feeling guilty for not visiting my father's grave as much as I used to.I seem to be so busy lately and was feeling sad when I wrote this. * * * I don't come here as often As I once used to do But my feelings haven't changed So very much I still love you Has it really been five years Since you so sadly passed away You are always in my thoughts I think about you every day My writing gives me strength It helps me to get through But sometimes when I'm alone My heart still pines for you I rely upon fond memories Within my heart I hold you dear I reminisce about the good times It seems like yesterday you were here Your love light shines from heaven I'm bathed in its warming glow I write my feelings down on paper Through my pen I let love flow As I sit upon the sand And gaze on out to sea How I wish with all my might That you were sitting beside me * * * "Love is the lifeline I cling to when grief threatens to pull me down into eternal darkness" I am in motion I am blue Love is an ocean I'm anchored in you - Shawn Mullins |

So beautiful Sue... I know how much you miss you Dad, for I miss mine too. This is very inspiring. ~Happy Easter hugs to you!~ To have lived the dream of a love so true... |

Sue What a beautiful tribute to your father. This is closeness as good as it gets in memory. I'm sure he's proud of you. Eric |

Sue, you are visiting your Dad every time you think of him! ~ and every time you write about him, you are keeping a part of him alive in your readers. He is with you always. His spirit is smiling at his beloved daughter. God bless you both in heaven and on earth. Linda |

Your love light shines from heaven I'm bathed in its warming glow I write my feelings down on paper Through my pen I let love flow I truly enjoyed this poem, I makes me think of my Mother gone two years now. Funny how writing about our lost loved ones keeps them close somehow. Susan |
