My little patch of heaven,
Lies outside my country home,
Where fields of wild flowers,
Rise up from earthy loam.

Blue skies go on forever,
Pines whisper in the breeze,
Maples change their colour,
Before their Fall-ing leaves.

Hills rolling in the distance,
Are limned by setting sun,
Meadowlarks sing their songs,
When the day is done.
