Ala bam a

Today has been fantastic,
I was visiting my home,
Met my son who's doing well,
(The best friend I've ever known)

I drove up thru the mountains,
Dogwoods all in bloom,
Redbud trees and animals,
From hibernation tombs.

I love my Alabama,
Like Lynard Skynard said:
"The skies are blue and morals high,
And religion isn't dead.

They pray in school and rules are strict,
A man still tips his hat,
Ladies are treated with respect,
"Can you imagine that?"

Yes, today has been quite special,
Not much these days I love,
But I loved my day today dear Lord,
Just a thanks to Thee above.

And Toe, you need to put a "shiver down your spine" alert on this poem.

I can feel how special your land, your son, your home is to you.

Toe,
I understand this perfectly.  There's no place like home.  I like this side of you, too.  Of course, you're poetry is a joy to read in any style.
