If you don't see the insanity you'll never find the pearl i can't make it easy only a ragdoll would be so complacent light me up i'm a firecracker shaking up your white world why be generic when diversity is so sublime? i'm what your mother told you not to go out with (though your dad would give a thumbs up on me) i left my 60 credits in a city university, a place paul and artie sang their way out of cashing out on corona's queen i'm white trash once or twice removed my blood is not blue, i come without a dowry, i picked my first couch off a sale on the sidewalk i've wore a hard knock life, but don't play any violins for me i'm off the lung and onto the tongue if you hold me back, i'll burst like a pipe, showering you in acid i'm not this pretty if you truly ruffle me im 48, feeling a bit nervous pierced and inked, i fear the bleach is rotting my brain cells, still wearing short skirts, I feign nonchalance as i flash the trucker driving to the right of me i've become a naughtygirl but i come from love despite it all, who but me walks in my shoes, i try not to judge what i don't fully understand i'm a mother hen, and i'll hurt u if you try to harm my kids most days i'm a pussy cat you'd never know this side lives in me, shy as the daffodil easing her way thru spring's birth canal, if you can see me through this madness and gift me with yours too you will live in my heart, forevermore [This message has been edited by inkedgoddess (01-30-2004 09:41 PM).] |
