I Did A Naughty Thing! |

+*+*+*+*+*+ Once upon a weekend, I did a naughty thing, I tied my little sister up, With a ball of string. She broke into gales of laughter, She giggled all the while, Telling me, "This is so much fun!" Until she saw my smile. 'Twas actually a smirk, you see, For this was pay back time. She'd hacked the hair, off my dolls, And didn't give a dime! I held a Barbie up to her face, And said, "See what you have done! You sheared off her golden curls! ~ Is that your kind of fun?" My sister squirmed and sputtered, And begged to be let go, I shook my head and let her cry, For she had hurt me so. But then I looked, in to her eyes, And my heart began to melt. I couldn't cause her any pain, Because her pain I felt. I explained that all our actions, Do have consequences, That she should think before she acts, And not do acts so senseless! Her pouting face was precious, I was weakened by her charms, With scissors I then snipped the strings, Then around her, put my arms. She promised she'd be respectful, And not touch things of others, So from her room she went and got, A tin soldier of our brother's! She opened up her piggy bank, And poured out every penny, Then handed me a tiny wig, Which belonged to her doll Jenny. "I'm sorry, Sis! I've learned my lesson! I never will be bad. I do not want to upset others, Nor make them feel sad." I hugged my little sister, Telling her that she's the best, That she really is a good little girl, Who slipped up, and made a mess! I brought my Barbies out to play, To show her I still care, That we could play side by side, With my dollies that we could share. It's funny, but her lesson, Had something there for me, That dolls and things can be replaced, But my sister could never be! +*+*+*+*+*+ [This message has been edited by Earth Angel (04-06-2004 04:54 PM).] |

EarthyOne~ Oh me ... oh my ... don't know whether to laugh or to cry~ So will do a little of both~ THIS - 'It's funny, but her lesson, Had something there for me, That dolls and things can be replaced, But my sister could never be!' - just says it all for me too~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost, |

Magic in this write! Very well written. Pulling me right in through the whole episode. I have four sisters, two older two younger, and I can remember the crazy things they would do to get on each others nerves, but I can also remember the closeness they shared with each other too; especially when they decided to torture me. Great write! JL |

WOW This is such a wonderful poem. It reminds me of my older sister. You see I was the little naughty one. I never understood what I had done wrong ^*~*^*~*^*~*^*~*^ Although this is a little delicate poem it also has such a strong tone as it evoked such memories for me!! Well written ^*~Kimberley~*^ "Theres no posession, just obsession and growing depression" |

Awww, Linda Lou, this is so precious!! I don't have any sisters (by blood) but it brought back lots of memories with my only brother. I like from September to October being 6 years older than him. He's still my "little" brother, though he's lots taller than me now. LOL With love and hugs, Ethel Mae |

Linda, This is great and could be illustrated wonderfully into a children's book. Perhaps something you'll think about... The kids would like it just as much as we naughty grown-ups! Sadie |
