She came unannounced to visit me,
I answered the door and closed the drapes
Since dusk had long passed as had twilight,
She sat on the couch reading my poetry
I returned to finish making my crepes
For asparagus wraps tomorrow night.
I took her a cup of raspberry tea
And asked her what she been doing of late
Turning on the end table light.

She tried to express her exasperation,
How her latest late boyfriend had gone
Giving so little and want so much more
Play rough shod over her emotions
And being relieved that it was done,
Although now life had become a bore,
Lonely in her new emancipation,
Complaining till the stroke of one
And then finally departed out my door.

Tired I just wanted to go to bed
But cleaned the kitchen instead,
Fed the cat and drank some wine
To erase the visitation from my mind.

some visitations can pick up the spirit...

I should have washed my dishes last night but got delayed in eating my dinner...by then
I still had a few thngs to accomplish and forgot all about them...are you for hire? j/k

I know the confusion of such visits, whether they be in voice, in mind or in body.

I have a feeling she will be back in one form or another.

Thank you, Nakdthoughts
Dishes are not my thing either,
But a little furry thing that is often seen streaking through the shadows of my domicile has this tendency to lick the plate so hard that he shoves them off the counter and onto the floor, usually about two in the morning.  So if I wish to sleep and not wake to the shattered dishes things must be taken care of before retiring.

Thank you, Susan Caldwell,
I’m sure she will, call her a bad penny.

Thank you, ThisDiamond,
Pleased you enjoyed.
