This should have been a Hawk

It then moved to
********************************

This is my payslip
Some slip indeed
It comes from grovelling
Around
On my knees
*****************************
and then to Poetry Lives

dave

Poetry lives

It may not be spelled correctly
It may be the end of a day
It is alive

Poetry lives

No matter who cares

Poetry lives

When people say they dry up
I ask
How can you

When so much of life
Begs for your skill

A picture lasts
A newspapers Headlines

Your words last for life
When you can not look at life

Then I consider that a reason for a gifted poet not to write

That is the only reason
As far as I am concerned

When all else is lost
You are not

Spread your words
That others may live

With words

Dave

Yes you are right. We might not be always aware of this. Still it is true that words can mean so much.
Thank you for this wise and insightful message, Dave.
