She was like
a children’s toy,
a sailing ship
from papered slip,
creased and folded,
simplistic beauty
in her form,
as she sailed
on springtime’s breeze
across a waveless pond.

Alas, no anchor is attached
to paper sailing ships.

Sweet poem...couldn't help but think, good thing...paper ships would sink with an anchor...Some beautiful things are just free.

I know a few like this...
so beautiful and graceful,
until you want to catch them.
This is lovely in its simplicity and truth.
