Release of the heavens

lost in the rhythms
you wrap around me,
filling deep within this
infinite well that longs
to nurture your own hunger,

extending their reach,
the trees ache to hold
the rain, then release again,

i wake to your passion

then surrender beneath
the flow of tears
the storm brings tonight,

lay down with me lover,

naked, in the thirsty grass
that wets the desires
of two wandering hearts,

shed your skin onto mine

feel my touch
as your walls disintegrate,

let me heal you, my child,

we are raindrops, pathless,
finding our destinies locked
within the ocean's embrace
