“If you have the time
I would like to talk to you”
There was something on her mind,
“It is a thing I can do,
Care for sparkling Rose’ wine?”
I casually said,
A pause then nodded her head,
T’was a troubled lass
That I poured a fluted glass
And gave it to her
Midst the candles slow flicker.
The talk was not light
And it went deep into the night
I refilled her glass
With the sparkling Rose’ wine.
From sun light to full starlight
The conversation ran
She left and I kissed her hand
Going out the door
Saying “we’ll have to talk more,
And comfort your mind
For you I always have time.”

This was a really wonderful read.
I've read a few of your poems now
and I liked this one by far the most!

There was a steady rhythm to this
and it flowed through my mind
almost as if I myself had written it!
I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Reading both responses, Professor...
Just know that for the most part,
whatever answer I get is not in deference
to my own thinking, I just add it to the
pile of information I've collected
thus far...

and to add to your reserve, there's a fine
