Moved from a shack to a barn

I empathize, truly, with the first man
to have felt this…..thing

That his compliment
was more than accompaniment

A feeling, akin to the wind
at once, compelling and elusive

With the force to sway forests
and the substance of nothing

An emotion, soft as a sunrise
and sharper than flint

How, with her, the primal thrustings
slow, sweeten, and become music

That within his shuddered release
and her own trembling songs

Came the knowledge that if and when
this thing were ever to end

Something inside him would assuredly
break

"In looking Northward, I see a light"

Melt me why don't you.

This most certainly would sweep me off my feet. Here is my heart, treat it kindly.
Beautiful poem.
