Like little bits of paper,
Torn and scattered to the wind,
Hard to know just where it started
Or recognize the end.
All those dim and faded memories,
Vaguely, flickering through the mind.
Love that seemed to be eternal
Quickly lost and left behind.
It’s an easy thing to fall in love
And God!…it’s easy to fall out
All it takes is just a hint of lies
And a shadow of a doubt.
The bond that was so certain…frays
And loosens at the ends,
And the love that seemed so solid…breaks,
For love so seldom bends.
Like little bits of paper
Torn and scattered on the sea
Two hearts destroyed
And loneliness…where love was supposed to be.

O, Zippi… this is so sad.  But in this vision I could see you standing out in the open, the wind blowing, and the little bits of paper scattering all over the place.
Such deep emotions you have… Beautiful emotions.
I hope you get happy, soon, and someday you find a true heart meant just for you.
Big hug from Texas!

Hello my friend.
I knew you all were coming to visit these pages of blue.So happy to see you. The minute I seen your smiling faces and I began to cry. What a dope I am. If I could reach through space I would gather you all near and give you a great big hug.

I do love you all.

Welcome! zippi, I enjoyed this very much, and the 'bits of paper' metaphor. Profound truth in the line quoted above.

This was simply wonderful.  I loved the emotion in this poem and some of the lines you came up with were brilliant.  Almost made me jealous of your creativity.  Keep up the good work...this is easily one of my favorites that I've read so far!

Well my dear girl, Welcome to Passions, it is so good to have you here...This is so sad, so forlorned...so seeminly against life's loving clarity...and yet, reminds us of how we should marvel in today...bringing us happiness and savor each and every moment.  Tremendous write...it's good to see ya sis...love ya bunches.  Me
