Where are you tonight why aren't you here learning to live on popcorn and sips of water anxiety in the microwave and a bath tub full of drip drip drops of cleanliness I am cleansed with you soaked in acid rain limp, broken umbrella and I'll twirl I'm a dead star lingering on, long after my passing i will haunt you, hold you until I burn out, fade and you you will clutch my dust in your fingers, burrying it in your palms bathing in it and smothering your loneliness with the memory of all that you used to have. I am intangible, any more, and you want so much to feel reach out and feel nothing with my skin I have evaporated with the rain and I have left you, little worm, squirming on the barely moist sidewalk wriggling around, searching for the damp touch of my world. I was dead when you met me entranced by my glowing edges shocked, surprised, appalled, by my vacancy my mental, physical vacancy and the fact that all I left you was stardust. |
