Swan Song In A Silent Movie
By: Noah Eaton
3/27/04

(intro chord progression)

(riff 1: throughout verses)

I can't read your lips,
there's just too much I miss,
each reminisce leaves me transfixed.

I screamed from the top of my lungs every night,
dreaming that you'd return before my very eyes
now here you are, but it don't feel right

(riff 2: throughout pre-chorus)

I'm ashamed to admit,
you'd look more beautiful to me,
like a priceless child,
in a classic silent movie,
when you walked around me,
whispering terms of endearment into my ear,
it's scary when you always listen,
but you just can't hear...

(chorus: chord progression)

You break my heart,
when I hear you sing,
when I hear you sing...
YOU KNOW HOW IT MAKES ME DIZZY...

(riff 1: verse)

Burning the midnight oil,
wrapping my heart in aluminum foil,
preserving the freshness of you where it recoils.

(riff 2: pre-chorus)

I'm in a state of hebephrenia,
I'm locked in my own recovery room,
lethargy invades my dreams,
since we bid adieu,
I want to send the memory away from whence it came,
but I'm grateful by getting to feel you,
your self-portrait stole my heart,
just a moment too soon...

(chorus: chord progression)

You break my heart,
when I hear you sing,
when I hear you sing...
YOU KNOW HOW IT MAKES ME DIZZY...

(bridge: solo)

(chorus: chord progression)

You break my heart,
when I hear you sing,
when I hear you sing...
YOU KNOW HOW IT MAKES ME DIZZY...

(coda: continuing chords)

But if the bright lights don't receive you
You should turn yourself around and come back home" MB20

So, Noah, when are you going to let us listen to your music??  I'd like to hear this swan song again with your guitar.

Dear Noah, your Swan Song is beautifully melancholic.
Your heart is in the healing process.
Love and hugs. Margherita

"I'm locked in my own recovery room,"

~ Wow, after all that I have just gone through, that line really hits home! Fortunately I found the key and I'm out of there and almost fully recovered!

Someday I hope to hear your sweet voice singing your wonderful songs!

Loves 'n hugs,
EA
