.

.

Crooked arms waving
beckoning to me
as the March winds
whistle a familiar tune
of nature's renewal.
I approach hesitantly,
my hair whipping
in the breeze
like unattended ribbons
on a May pole.
The sharp call of a jay
catches me off guard.
Looking up, my face
is teased, tickled
by velvet, grey
kitten toes.
My sweater catches, snags
as I twirl and giggle
within it's paw-like grasp.
Ah yes! Revival!
Another winter endured
Another spring to celebrate
And I am but a human
ball of yarn
To the playful
pussy willow.

Ah Chris...our willows have budded, feathered, and are falling away, to be replaced by leaves of soft green.  What a charming write...and the picture is just purrrrfect.

Thanks Karilea, and our pussywillow tree is in the final stages of showing off it's pussies. They will turn a fluff of yellow and blow away. But, I did clip bunches to place around the house.

Chris, I just love this whole piece and the picture. Spring is such a time of joy.

Another spring to celebrate
And I am but a human
ball of yarn
To the playful
pussy willow.

I'm celebrating with you dear lady.
