I wish
I weren't
alone right now.

I wish
these silences
spoke breath.

I wish I had
a zipperpull
built here
in my chest
so I
could
keep me
from the
cold
regret
of
turning
inself-out...

I wish
I wouldn't
think so loud.

I wish
I had
no wish. . .at all.

I wish
I weren't
alone right now.

I wish...

do I have wishes left?

turning
inself-out...

perfectly, achingly described

you have lots of wishes left and the right ones for you are going to come true

Serenity, you are not alone in your wishing.  Sometimes one can feel lonely even when there is a full house.  I liked that stanza about the zipper pull a lot!   .........jo

Serenity Blaze,
   "I wish I wouldn't think so loud".
I am glad I hear your thinking...  My grandmother (would be 104 if living) used to have a saying that always left me perplexed:
"If wishes were horses, beggars would ride."  Have you ever heard that one?

I, too, liked the zipper part!

you could never run out of wishes, just keep taking them one at a time, give them a purpose to exist....because you have a purpose to exist..and alone is not as alone as it may appear...

Sometimes it can really be that heavy and I appreciate the feeling you've generated in this piece.

I like that, "inself out," good phrase.......
