The poet has said for many a day,
That time is a thief who steals hours away,
And takes the blush from the cheek
The sparkle from the eye
A little of all as it passes by.

Time takes the bright luster from the hair,
Steals the gold, but leaves silver there
Gone hearty laughter, the youthful sounds
But when I think of my blessings
Great joy abounds.

A springy step isn't there to see,
Time exchanged it for poise and dignity
Where once I ran, now I walk,
My best performances
Are only talk.

Time gives one vision of yester-year
Hard to recall without a tear,
Temporal were the things time took from me,
I've had so many joys
And paid a very small fee.....

just ONE?

smile...

I love your humor, Toe, you know that. But I do wish you would grace us more often with your lovely reflections.

Your gracious gentleman heart does shine in these--and ooooh? if I could? I'd like to request a repost. I'd kept it but lost it in a computer gaffe--remember? The one about the guitar?

and thanks for this one sweets.

This is ANOTHER keeper.

(Now if only I could learn how to keep the keepers)

Lovely and filled with reflections of life.
Even tho I'm older then yesterday I still have my hearty laugh that seems to come from my toes. So my friend the silver may be in your hair and may not walk as fast as in your youth, but you are fast on your feet with your words cause you are one of The Three Musketeers of Badness.
