Arrows

I’ve yet to find an arrows point
From the words that I anoint
The shaft seems made of laggard’s wood
Where meaning phrase be understood

And feathers that would stay the shaft
Will not catch the wind of draft
They seem to flatten in the drive
Loosing all their straight of strive

I’ve yet to pull the bow and loose
The striking of the golden goose
To hunt the wilderness of mind
And leave the forest with a find

Sometimes I wonder in the hunt
Is the thought or arrow blunt?
Do I really wish to kill?
Or is it just the hunt I thrill.

I think it is the passage wend
The wonders awe and not the end

Sy,
I started to copy this one and found I would have copied the whole poem.  Perhaps it's because I relate to this in many ways,
but I think it's one of your best.  I absolutely love the analogy-I like science and got into your description of the aerodynamics, as well as questioning the hunt.  Excellent, and to the library!
Oh, by the way, happy morning!

Sy,
As usual, I forgot to get my library card before hanging up.  Sorry-false alarm!  Now I have it!  Thanks again for the wonderful poetry.

Too true, dearest Sy
that a mere thought, when sharp,
pulled, and released, is a deadly
as any arrow...

and sometimes the hunt should be the thrill, alone.

Well done, my dear friend.

Good morning, Monsieur Sonneteer!

Ah, yes! 'Tis indeed more about life's  journey than it is about the destination! D'accord! ~ I wholeheartedly agree!

I marvel at your mind ~ poetically and otherwise! ~ and you are so prolific! You could give the energizer bunny a run for his money!

~ May your slings and arrows of outrageous fortune be straight and true!

Warm, morning huggums,
EA

Your mind is so busy and alive, dear Seymour, and so SMART that your arrows touch the centre of the target always.

You always make me think with your beautiful and meaningful poetry. Thank you.
Love, Margherita
