Awakeagain Even behind closed lids It is dark, yet Because it is cool And sense the air around me, As white thundering sounds fall far away In some proximal distance, Crickets And tree frogs Come into early morning play, Your hand brushing my cheek Reaching over, Moments passing in dusky shadows Behind dark cool sense White sounds click crickets Electric awakenings My hand reaches Buttons A deja view |

The times between rest and wakefulness often reveal our subconscious dilemmas. I found both warmth and chill here, and "deja view" is a wonderful word play. KJ Through rubble and trouble and dark of night |
